I’m beyond excited to share my latest collection with you!
The Earth Inspired Collection features works ranging from small pieces, just 23 x 25 cm (perfect for a shelf or gallery wall) to a large, textured statement piece of 91 x 91 cm. Each piece is unframed, showcasing its raw, natural beauty. However, if you’d prefer a framed piece, I’d be happy to arrange that for you.
Here it is, my first body of work for 2022—can you believe it?!The Earth Inspired Collection was created over the summer and autumn months, so naturally, the color palette is infused with neutrals, warm ochres, siennas, beiges, and a delightful sea blue—such calming, delicious colors to work with! Time seems to slow down in the summer, offering a chance to unwind and reconnect.The smaller works were created over the holiday period, with my family at home, bush walks, and many trips to the beach. I explored new ideas in my sketchbook, and once my teenagers were back at school, I dove into translating these discoveries onto canvas, balancing this creative time with my other job.The inspiration for this collection came from those long, lazy summer days—ocean swims, visits to botanical gardens during autumn, strolling past patina effects, and the desire to unplug from our busy routines while savoring plenty of coffee and tea.
